    Dr. Anamarys Blanco Fernandez is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in treating heart conditions, including coronary artery and vascular disease, using catheter-based procedures.

    After earning her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Blanco completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Central Florida/HCA Florida Healthcare GME Consortium in Ocala, FL. She completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the same institution. She is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

    Dr. Blanco is highly proficient in a wide range of procedures for treating cardiovascular disease, including coronary stenting, left and right heart catheterization, EKG interpretation, transesophageal echocardiogram, or transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) with direct current cardioversion.

    She is committed to serving the community by providing high-quality cardiovascular care and improving patients’ lives, with a focus on coronary and peripheral interventions.

    Dr. Blanco is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside of work, Dr. Blanco enjoys playing tennis, kickboxing, hiking, reading and traveling.
